Terms of Use

1. Trader and scope

XCInsight is operated by EastProd s.r.o., Slovakia. These Terms apply to registered users and to FREE and PRO services. Mandatory consumer rights in your country of habitual residence remain unaffected.

By creating an account or using XCInsight you enter into a contract with the operator under these Terms. Paid subscriptions are additionally governed by the Subscription & Billing Terms.

2. Service description

XCInsight provides post-flight analysis of IGC/GPS data, a flight logbook, 3D replay, thermal and glide metrics, terrain and weather context, launch-site information, team sharing, comparisons, AI-generated debriefs and forecast briefings.

Features may depend on third-party data, models and APIs. Coverage, availability and accuracy vary by location, provider and time.

3. Flight-safety limitation

XCInsight is an educational and analytical service. It is not a certified flight instrument, navigation system, official aviation weather briefing, airspace service, instructor or operational decision system.

Do not use XCInsight as the sole basis for take-off, continuation, landing, airspace or manoeuvre decisions. Always use current authoritative aviation, weather, NOTAM, airspace and local information and your own qualified judgement.

4. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate information and protect your credentials. You must have the legal capacity required to enter into the relevant contract, or appropriate parent/guardian authorisation where permitted by law.

We may approve, refuse, suspend or terminate accounts for security, abuse, non-payment, unlawful conduct or material breach, subject to mandatory law.

5. Your flight and profile data

You retain rights in your uploaded files and data. You grant EastProd s.r.o. the limited rights necessary to host, process, transform and transmit those data to operate XCInsight and provide requested features.

You must have the right to upload the data. Do not upload another person's private location or flight data without an appropriate legal basis or permission.

6. Teams and sharing

If you join a Team, flight data that you choose to make available through Team functionality can be viewed by current Team members according to their role. Shared access is read-only unless the feature expressly states otherwise.

Leaving or removal from a Team ends access derived from that Team. Team owners and administrators are responsible for using invitation and membership tools lawfully.

7. AI and automated outputs

AI debriefs and weather narratives are machine-generated probabilistic outputs. They can contain factual mistakes, unsupported conclusions or misleading recommendations. AI output is identified in the service as AI-generated or AI-assisted.

XCInsight does not use AI output to make legal or similarly significant decisions about users. Human judgement remains necessary, particularly for aviation and safety matters.

8. FREE and PRO

Plan features, usage limits, prices and billing periods are shown before purchase. FREE limits may change prospectively. Material changes to paid plans are communicated as required by law.

PRO is a recurring subscription unless the checkout expressly states otherwise. Billing, cancellation, statutory withdrawal and refunds are described in the Subscription & Billing Terms.

9. Acceptable use

You may not attack or overload the service, bypass quotas or access controls, distribute malware, impersonate others, scrape protected areas, violate intellectual property or privacy rights, or use XCInsight for stalking, harassment or unlawful tracking.

Automated bulk use requires prior written permission unless an official API or feature expressly allows it.

10. Third-party services

XCInsight may use services such as hosting, Stripe, Google Maps Platform, OpenAI, Open-Meteo, OpenStreetMap, launch-site databases and other providers. Their availability and source data can change independently of XCInsight.

Where third-party terms apply to your direct interaction with those services, you should review them as well.

11. Intellectual property

XCInsight software, brand, interface and original presentation are protected by intellectual-property law. No ownership is transferred except rights expressly granted by law or these Terms.

You may use outputs relating to your own flights for lawful personal or professional purposes, but may not reproduce or resell the service itself without permission.

12. Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, security incidents, provider failures or legal requirements may cause interruptions.

We may modify or discontinue features for technical, legal, security or business reasons while respecting mandatory consumer rights for paid services.

13. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EastProd s.r.o. is not liable for aviation decisions, incidents, injuries or property damage caused by reliance on AI, forecast, terrain, launch-site, third-party or analytical data.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer remedies.

14. Complaints and ADR

Complaints should first be sent to the operator using the contact details below. Consumers may use an authorised alternative dispute resolution entity where statutory conditions are met.

The former EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform is no longer available. It was discontinued on 20 July 2025.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Slovak law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections granted by the law of your habitual residence under applicable EU private-international-law rules.

16. Changes and versions

The current version and effective date are shown on this page. Where a change materially affects an existing contract, we will provide notice and obtain renewed acceptance when legally required.

17. Experimental LIVE flight computer and in-flight AI

XCInsight includes an experimental LIVE flight computer with GPS recording, a live route map, native barometric variometer and audio on supported devices, approximate AGL and terrain context, climb heatmaps and optional AI observations. Availability, accuracy and data coverage can vary by device, connectivity, location and provider.

LIVE is not a certified flight instrument, navigation system, collision or obstacle-avoidance system, official airspace service, meteorological briefing or emergency system. A missing warning, empty layer or unavailable dataset never means an area is safe or clear.

Optional in-flight AI observations are clearly identified as AI-assisted. The current implementation is rate-limited and sends derived flight context rather than raw track coordinates to the AI generation request. AI output is advisory only and must not be treated as navigation, clearance or a safety assessment.

Teams and shared flight access

XCInsight teams are private collaboration spaces. By accepting a team invitation or approved join request, you authorise XCInsight to make your flight pages, GPS tracks, computed metrics and stored AI debriefs available to the other current members of that team for post-flight review and comparison.

Membership access lasts only while both users remain members of the same team. Team managers can remove members, and members can leave. A flight owner remains the only ordinary user allowed to generate or rerun AI analysis for that flight. Do not invite people who should not receive access to your flight/location data.
