Cookies & Browser Storage

1. Necessary storage

Session and security cookies, CSRF protection, the selected locale/session state and the record of your cookie choice are used where necessary for login, security and functionality you explicitly request. They are not used for advertising.

2. Functional preferences

Persistent interface preferences are optional. At present XCInsight stores the light/dark theme in browser localStorage only after you enable the Preferences category. Without that choice the theme can still be changed for the current page or session but is not persistently stored.

3. Third-party functionality

When you actively open functionality such as a 3D map or Stripe-hosted billing interface, your browser may connect directly to that provider and the provider may use storage necessary for its service, security and fraud prevention.

Weather and some other external data are normally requested server-side and do not necessarily create third-party browser storage.

4. Analytics and advertising

XCInsight does not currently deploy optional advertising or behavioural analytics cookies. If we introduce non-essential tracking that legally requires consent, it will be disabled until the required choice is made.

5. Browser controls

You can remove or block cookies in your browser. Blocking necessary session or security cookies can prevent login and core functionality.

6. Your storage choices

XCInsight keeps necessary storage enabled for security, sessions, legal-choice records and functionality explicitly requested by the user. Optional preference storage, currently including persistent light or dark theme selection, is stored only after the Preferences choice is enabled.

Cookie settings remain available from the site footer. Disabling Preferences removes the stored XCInsight theme preference. XCInsight currently has no advertising or behavioural analytics category because those technologies are not deployed.
